When we use the DRX ray machine to take pictures, we occasionally encounter some situations that cannot be imaged. Usually, we need to initialize the flat panel detector. Two common problems are listed below:
1. The problem of X-ray detection medium needs to be solved
• Phosphors – increased sensitivity (bright burn)
• Photoconductor – reduced sensitivity
2. The problem of a-Si:H array needs to be solved
• Incomplete charge readings for pixels
• Charge retention in a-Si:H switching elements
• Charge retention in a-Si:H photodiodes
• Charge redistribution due to high voltage protection scheme
May involve complex and time-consuming operations:
• The magnitude and polarity of the applied bias voltage
• Intensity and duration of the applied reset light field
• Injected signal offset charge
• Determine if the array is suitable for live imaging.
